I received my plain ticket and in two days I was heading to Turkey. A little weekend coordinating meeting in Adana, South of Turkey. I had no idea that there will be only three of us, though I was told that probably it will be more of a vacation then of work. It hapenned exactly like I was told but I was glad to go there, it turned out to be a pretty nice weekend vacation. |
I had no time to see Istanbul but I made my first impresion about it. The view from the plain made my impression of an endless multimillion city (after I discovered that there are 12 million people in one city, it is three of my home countries). While landing in Istanbul I thought we will land on a roof of the house, the airport was very close to living houses just cross a highway.
The most funny and interesting things me and my partner discovered in Turkey:
- Taxi on the tree (all over the city there are boxes with a button) where you can call a taxi but we didn’t understood how they know where to come, or may be they count the trees where is the button?
- Earings of the dogs (the dogs have a kind of an earing of yellow and green colors). This earing confirm that the dog was vaccinated by municipality.
- Orange trees (that are not exactly oranges but a kind of a mix with lemon) I think I have a thing for orange trees but I’ve never seen them in February. The weather was so nice that the trees and flowers were blossoming.
There were more of the things that amazed and interested us. Call for praying that you can hear 5 times a day from all of the mosques. People walking in little groups, or just walking with no direction. Huge portions of food and very delicious deserts. The biggest mosque in Turkey and Middle East and the oldest bridge in the world that is still in use and more …
