Let’s Dance Together 4!

I start to feel myself too old for youth exchanges … “Let’s Dance Together” in Italy was the 4-th edition of the project. I enjoyed the stay in Casarano, because it was summer time there, because people were very friendly and nice, because it was the possibility to be with Marco more and because I wanted to visit Italy but …

I think I am fully ready to lead my own project (or may be more than one) and not only be a participant (of course talking about youth exchanges and not training courses). Continue Reading »

Italian trains …

In Italy there are different kind of trains, though all of them give you a chance to experience a new adventure. Going to Lecce from Rome we used an Eurostar train, a very comfortable one that cost us 54 Euro. We had 6 hours of the trip and I could easily fit myself in two soft chairs to sleep.

My sleep was only a dream, one guy talking in some strange language (a mix of French with English words or English with some French) was always on the phone. May be he thought that no body can understand him so he was talking very loud. He spent around 5 hours on the phone talking so loud that I could not sleep. Continue Reading »

Italian sun …

I was badly freezing in Czech Republic and was happy to see the red numbers on the bus screen showing 16 C when we entered Italy. 14 hours in the yellow bus went smoothly and I safely arrived to Florence even earlier than planned.

Warm stream of happiness run through my body when I saw Marco from the window of the bus …  early morning hugs, warm shower and soft bed were waiting for me. Continue Reading »

Ice-hockey

Yesterday was my first time to watch an ice-hockey match. Since I live together with 2 ice-hockey players and yesterday was their first game here we couldn’t miss it. I think I like this game … white ice, black puck, men in colored uniforms who try to kill each other for it. It was a lot of fun watching them skating, punching each other and falling down and then skating again and falling down again …

Well, we lost the game 3:1 but the biggest fun began when my hockey players returned home. They were angry and pissed off by the game, by their team, by the management of the team and by the strategy of the game itself. You should see their daces last night, I bet if we had a punching bag they would tear it down. We went for a beer (damn … sometimes it is too hard to be around men) we talked about hockey and girls, hockey injuries and fights (they showed all their scars left after hockey games and when we came back home Martin showed his fights on youtube), life in Europe and States. I had a lot of fun watching them pissed off after the game, explaining me the right strategy of the game and how dumb the management of the local hockey team is.

Sport & other things

Today I had my first yoga lesson, I stretched myself a bit and I felt how iron is my body. I need to practice more and more … Today I also went with a group of people with mental and combined disability to a chocolate factory …

This is a totally different experience and totally different feeling to be around disabled people. They are more pure and sincere … one guy there is so funny, I didn’t understand all the Czech but from what I understood he had some really funny jokes.

Some things are already planned for October. I will have on arrival meeting for my EVS in the end of September and than I am heading to Florence for couple of days, than to Casarano for the youth exchange and than back to Florence again. So I have a little less than a month to see my dear again. This is really strange how different people rise different feeling in your heart. My mafia was a very strange thing, like a flash of the light in the end of a black tunnel that gives you a hope but leaves you blind for some time and than your eyes hurt from it. Though now is totally different … something delicate, like silk … very gentle and soft … need to keep it safe from the cruel world … need to keep it delicate …

Physical pressure …

I decided to pressure my body physically, because except of jogging I didn’t practice any sport for a long time. So yesterday we went hiking for 12 km. than we went to rope adventure. Damn … this was awesome … we were jumping and climbing and flying … at one moment I thought that I will not resist, but I did it till the end.

The next thing on my list is bicycle riding every day, swimming and I started to go to a street dance club and I will start to do yoga since next week. So I hope to get rid of some extra kilos I got here and imporve my physical shape. In October when my honey will come to visit me I hope to go to a bicycle trip and we will for sure have some sport time.

My trip to Portugal

I stayed overnight in Prague at a friend of mine. I could not fall asleep again and at 6.30 I barely opened my eyes but I had to get up. It took me a little more than an hour to get to the airport. Our journey started very interesting, with a false fire alarm and evacuation from the airport building. My first impression of my Czech group was unsure, but it turned out that they are really funny and sometimes crazy people (in a good sense of the word).

It took us more than an hour to check in, now I wonder … Prague is visited by crowds of tourists why not to hire more staff? 45 minutes till we landed in Frankfurt airport. We had to wait a little bit more than 2 hours in the airport for the flight to our final destination. We watched one of my favorites cartoons “Open Season”. Though it was in Czech I realized that I know it by heart.

It was my first experience to fly with big airplanes (the ones like in the movies about plain crashes and terrorists, though instead of terrorists there were two cute little kids running all over the plain). I realized that I like small airplanes more than big ones. We safely arrived to Lisbon, we had half an hour before our train to Santa Comba Dao and guess what we did … we went to McDonalds … yes very funny choice for the first thing to do in a new place. Though we didn’t have a lot of time to walk around. Continue Reading »
